Please have your athletes there at least 30 minutes before their tee times.

DEFINITION OF OPEN PLAYER:

“A student-athlete who has competed in a provincial or national tournament within the past 12 months outside the high school program, shall be classified as an Open participant within the individual division.”

It seems there is some confusion as to which Golf Ontario competitions are included within this definition.  The best way to explain this is with actual examples.

To clarify, participation in a provincial qualifying tournament or regional tour event does NOT classify athletes as ‘Open’.  Student-athletes that have participated in an actual provincial or national tournament for their age are considered Open participants.  Remember all student-athletes must be designated when registering for OFSAA.

Please note that there are individuals on “qualifying” teams that did not break the maximum score of 100 and therefore are not eligible for SOSSA.

The top 3 teams and 3 individuals outside of those teams qualify for SOSSA in the boy’s division of each Zone.

The low girl’s individual from Zone 4 is Casey Kenney with a fine score of 87 and the low girl’s individual from Zone 3 is Mikayla Laceywith a fine score of 87.
